Oby Ndukwe, the publisher of the Beam newspaper, has voiced her thoughts regarding President Bola Tinubu’s suggested resolution for the Rivers state crisis. She stated that such matters ought to have been resolved in private and that there was no need for the public revelation. She said that outside intervention might have been prevented if Governor Fubara had broadcast sooner about sticking to the resolution. She said in an interview with Arise TV, ”As far as I’m concerned, the parties involved have decided to resolve their matter. Ordinarily, this ought not to have been in the public domain. It’s something that they could have as well handled. And if Fubara had made this broadcast earlier, the people meddling in now wouldn’t be there. It’s just that the delay now offered them the opportunity to do what they are doing.
