Bode George, a former deputy national chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated that he had one wish for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that if he succeeds in doing so, Nigerians will remember him forever. Speaking on Sunday in an interview with The Cable, Bode George stated that President Bola Tinubu ought to put into practice the suggestions put out in the report of the 2014 national conference, as it has the answers to the issues confronting Nigeria. He said, “People are hungry and they are therefore angry. I want Mr Tinubu to do only one thing and Nigerians will not forget him if he can do that. He should take the report of the 2014 national confab and implement the recommendations.
“The solution to the problems of Nigeria have been provided in that report. If we can do so, we will remain on the golden pages of history for generations to come.”
Bode George was reminded that the former President Muhammadu Buhari refused to implement the report of the 2014 national confab. He was then asked that if President Tinubu who said he would continue from where Buhari stopped will implement the report. In his response to that, Bode George said that Tinubu just started his presidency and still has time to implement the report.
He said that even the Northerners are also complaining that the present constitution is not working. He said that everybody can now see that Nigeria’s constitution is stifling the country’s growth. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
