I Told Peter Obi I'm Getting Nervous Because 3 Brothers Collected Article Of Independence -According to Sowunmi

Segun Sowunmi, a PDP chieftain and former Atiku Abubakar aide, has revealed how he met with Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and had a meaningful discussion with him. He voiced his concerns, pointing to the historical background in which major players such as Tafawa Balewa, Nnamdi Azikiwe, and Awolowo were instrumental in securing the country’s independence and instituting a tripartite system of government. He conveyed his apprehension regarding the growing attitude among residents of the South East who are questioning the reasoning behind the ongoing Yoruba leadership transitions in the North and South West. He noted that this has led to a contemplation of how such a dynamic could be effectively managed.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”I had first of all met with Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party and we have had some strong conversation. I told Peter Obi I’m getting nervous because 3 brothers collected the article of independence. Tafawa Balewa, Nnamdi Azikwe, and Awolowo, and a few others. And we ran the country on a tripod.

And I’m noticing that the South Easterners are beginning to really be unpersuaded on why we will be passing the baton between the Yorubas the South West and the North West. How are we going to manage this? I have noticed that we had produced a North Eastern person in Atiku Abubakar back to back.
