Concern has been expressed by a female Nigerian soldier about what she believes to be tyranny at the hands of some top army officials. She said that by declining the approaches of more senior officials, her life is in danger. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In the claim which was made by Sahara Reporters, the female soldier accused the senior commanders whose names she supplied as Col. IB Abdulkareem, Col. GS Ogor, and Brig. Gen. IB Solebo, of victimizing her since she was posted to Cantonment Medical Center, Ojo, Lagos, in 2022.

Recounting her ordeal, the soldier claimed that Col. Abdulkareem has made several attempts to rape her, and when he was found out, he immediately claimed that she had mental health issues.

She said that she had written petitions against him, and even tried to get some senior and junior officers involved in the matter, but all her efforts proved abortive.

She said that she knows they will come for her for speaking up, and that they might even dismiss her from the force, but that she does not care.

She said, “I know definitely they will come for me. They will lock me up and they will dismiss me but I don’t care. I can’t endure again… I don’t want to die young.

“If anything should happen to me, please hold Col. IB Abdulkareem, Col. SG Ogor and Brig. Gen. IB Solebo, responsible, because they don’t want me to grow. They don’t want my progress.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has reacted to the allegations, and has promised to investigate the matter and take appropriate actions.
