I heard a governor thanking God that Tinubu could have asked judiciary to rule against him- According to Utomi

In an interview with a Punch correspondent, political economist and former presidential candidate Pat Utomi discussed his views on a variety of topics, including the state of the Nigerian economy, governmental corruption, and the formation of a new political party. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

As he discussed the nation’s current political climate, he made it clear that he was not being cavalier about it; rather, he had studied history and the factors that lead to some countries’ success and failure. Regarding the results of the general elections in 2023, he chastised the judiciary and the Independent National Electoral Commission. Utomi asserted that despite what it may believe, the nation’s political elite is unaware of the harm it is causing to both Nigeria and itself.

He alleged that the political class has destroyed the judiciary, and very few people will take the judiciary seriously, and even foreign investors will tell you that this is one of the reasons they will not invest in the country, because when there is a trade dispute, they cannot be sure that they will get justice from the legal system.

Further talking, Pat Utomi said, “I was on social media one day and I heard a governor or somebody saying he was thanking God that Tinubu (president) could have asked the judiciary to rule against him, but he chose not to do so, and that he was grateful to him (President Bola Ahmed Tinubu).”

Further talking, he said the judges are not ashamed to hear this kind of statement, and even the man that he was thanking should as well be ashamed to hear such a statement, because people will believe that he can influence the judiciary. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
