Addressing the topic, Olumide said, “Of course, I appreciate the hardship that we are all going through in Nigeria. You only have to go outside to see it everywhere. The suffering is extremely palpable. However, I believe in this president, and he is sincere. I believe he has set up policies that will help us in the long run, but we have to be patient.”
He added, “Some statistics at hand will tell you that between 2005 and 2020, $13.7 trillion was spent on subsidy. Irrespective of whatever government takes over, it is something we have to address. There is no running from it. We have had years of corruption, and this is the reality we have to bear in mind.
