Holders of False University Degrees Are Urged To Be Removed From Management Positions by Tinubu

According to Vanguard, appeals have been made to the federal government to take action against those who hold high executive positions with phony degrees and other qualifications. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In an interview with the Vanguard, Alhaji Musa Saidu, President of the International Human Rights Commission, Ecology and Marine, Africa, made the request. He emphasized that there was proof that many Nigerians in prominent government positions had phony degrees from institutions, as evidenced by the recent incident with counterfeit diplomas linked to a university in the Benin Republic.

He announced that the degrees possessed by those in positions of responsibility, particularly those from foreign universities, should be the subject of an open investigation by the government.

He went on to say that some people holding positions for which they were unfit were misfits and that the country would benefit from having qualified individuals occupy positions thanks to the public audit of certifications.

He maintained that persons with phoney degrees in positions of power in public institutions were partly to blame for the nation’s backwardness.

“This recent scandal involving degrees from an African university is a good revelation,” the statement reads. Any high-ranking government official with an outside degree ought to be looked at. This will support our efforts to combat corruption.

“This will assist us have the proper personnel in the correct offices because it is a highly delicate matter. If at all feasible, let them converse in French with people who can understand them on national television.The government is heavily involved. They shouldn’t have an unfair advantage, but they have it.

“More than 20 years ago, I learned about this degree racketeering. Many hold degrees in foreign languages that they are unable to defend.As an international rights envoy, I believe that this scam ought to be stopped. That will benefit Nigeria.Although they all appear to be frauds, their profiles mention a variety of degrees.Nigeria is a disaster. Nigeria is not developing because so many of our leaders flaunt their phoney degrees.

  1. We can’t continue this way and expect change;so those top officials whether in government or private with fake degree certificates should be layed off and those who are fit and qualified to occupy those enviable positions should be accepted.
