He Receives Edo Election Results Sheet For Transmission To Bola Tinubu, Godswill Akpabio Reacts

 

The All Progressives Congress chieftain and Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, responded to the announcement made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Senator Monday Okpebholo, the party’s nominee, had won the Edo State gubernatorial election last Saturday.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Godswill Obot Akpabio, a former Governor of Akwa Ibom state noted that he has been presented with a copy of the results sheet by the Edo State chairman, Jeret Tenebe for onward transmission to the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recall that the Monday Okpebholo defeated other strong contenders including Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party and Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party to clinch the apex political seat in Edo State.

The Senate President of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio stated on his verified Facebook page Monday; “Shortly before my departure to Abuja after our party’s victory at the Edo Governorship Election, where my distinguished colleague, Senator Monday Okpebholo, was returned as the Governor -elect, I was presented with a copy of the results sheet by the Edo State chairman, Jeret Tenebe for onward transmission to our party leader and President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.”
