Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, is accused by Special Advisor on Information and Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, of manipulating religion and ethnicity to gain over followers during his 2023 campaign. In an interview with Seun Okinbaloye moments ago, the journalist leveled this accusation against Muhammadu Buhari, the former president, claiming that many of the popular conceptions of him are untrue. Speaking further, Bayo Onanuga disclosed that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu never picked former Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima as his vice president because he was Muslim, adding that he was picked by the president because of his loyalty to him.
However, the newspaper chief executive on speaking about former Anambra State governor and Labour Party chieftain, Peter Obi stated that;
