GRV Responds As Fashola Says Nigerians Should Ask Themselves If They Aren't Asking Too Much From BAT

The Labour Party LP’s candidate for governor of Lagos state in 2023, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour, has responded to remarks made by former governor of Lagos state Babatunde Raji Fashola, who suggested that Nigerians should consider whether they are placing too much expectation on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Babatunde Raji Fashola stated that the Nigerian president is not constitutionally authorized to pay for rent, businesses, water, etc. during a Q&A portion of a widely shared video.

Reacting to the statement that was made by the former governor of Lagos state, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour said that a party that believes that its policies have no impact on the cost of living, or that a president has no role to play in the ease of doing business, can not deliver progress and prosperity to the Nigerian people.

He wrote on his page;

“Honestly, i want to ask you this question: do you genuinely think that a party that believes it’s policies have no impact on the cost of living, or that a president has no role to play in the ease of doing business, can deliver progress and prosperity to the Nigerian people?.
