The Igbo Community Assembly has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to summon Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to account for allegedly showing disrespect for the Igbo people. Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday, the group criticized Wike for the comments he allegedly made, and gave him a seven-day ultimatum to issue a public apology to the Igbos or face the wrath of all Igbos and the gods of Igbo land.
Chief Ukachukwu had recently accused Wike of ordering the demolition of his investment on the 214 hectares of land in the Asokoro district of FCT.
Speaking during an interview, Ukachukwu had claimed that his property was not demolished because he violated any law, but because it was owned by an Igbo man.
He claimed that after walking around the land, Wike started shouting why they gave all that land to an Igbo man. He said after that, the property was demolished without any notice.
Speaking during the press briefing, the Chairman of the Igbo Community Assembly, Hon. Ositadinma Patrick Nwoye, said, “Wike accused our brother, Evangelist Nicholas Nwachukwu, of being fraudulent, and we are asking Wike, have you prosecuted him? If yes, in which court? If no, why not?
“Such derogatory statements are totally uncalled for and should not be swept under the carpet.”
Nwoye said that Igbos have always been part of nation-building, and that their presence in every part of the country is a testament to their contribution to the country’s development.
He added, “We are giving Barr. Wike seven (7) days ultimatum to issue a public apology to the Igbos or face the wrath of all Igbos and the gods of Igbo land.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
