Gov Sim Fubara"Whoever is Assuring Anybody Anywhere of Whatever, I Advise Them to Desist from it"

Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has issued a warning against attempts to sabotage the tranquility in the state by promising term extensions to individuals in defiance of court orders. Fubara denounced claims of secretariat invasions in certain local government districts in a video statement, stressing that tenure extensions are not allowed by law.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He urged those spreading false assurances to cease, prioritising peace in the state. He added that his government is focused on upholding the rule of law and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

According to him, “It’s really unfortunate that we started hearing some disturbing news from some LGAs about the invasion of the secretariat.

Speaking further, he said, “The law has said that there’s no extension of any tenure; the court said so, and whoever is assuring anybody anywhere of whatever, I advise them to desist from it because peace is what we need in the state.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
