With only a few days remaining in office, Fubara reminded local government chairmen of the ephemeral nature of political posts and asked them to act with integrity.

He reminded them that while politics is temporary, life continues, and maintaining peace and decorum is crucial for the community’s well-being. He emphasised the need for peace to be maintained in the state at all times.

According to him, “Let me also say this here: when we left Aleso the other day, some people went there and attacked our people. There’s no need for it; nobody is a monopoly or has a monopoly of violence. I should be the one who would even come and shout that I will do this; I’ll do that, but I don’t need to do that because both sides belong to me. So I’m advising those people who call themselves local government chairmen: you have a few days in office. Please conduct yourselves.
