He voiced dissatisfaction with Governor Fubara’s word choice, citing statements like “the jungle has matured” and referencing Wike’s allegation that he made a mistake by endorsing Fubara.
Daily Post reported that the investigation was made public by Governor Fubara on Monday. Because of the state’s continuing political instability, the investigation especially targets the previous government, which was led by Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the FCT.
When Nwogu spoke in Port Harcourt, he asked Fubara to stop what he called “witch-hunting” against the Wike.
The former legislator said that Tinubu’s participation in the altercation between Fubara and Wike was noteworthy. He expressed dissatisfaction with Fubara’s behavior and said that the governor’s choice to escalate the situation by opening an investigation is impolite to the president.
Criticizing Fubara’s strategy, he suggested that the governor concentrate on governance and infrastructure development.
In his words, “This is a direct spite on the President. If he chooses to abandon the eight-point agenda and pursue this course, it means he has no respect for the President’s intervention.“
