For some fraudulent fellows in this country, Peter Obi, Alex Otti and I are the ones accountable for insecurity in the South East while they deceitfully divert attention - According to Oby EzekwesiliOby Ezekwesili, the former minister of education in Nigeria and current chair of the World Trade Organization, has responded angrily to those who have criticized her for holding President Bola Tinubu accountable for the country’s escalating security problem.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Ezekwesili said in a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) account that she has encountered resistance from “fraudulent fellows” who try to divert attention from Tinubu’s ultimate duty as commander in chief by blaming him for disturbance, especially in the Southeast.

“For some fraudulent fellows in this country, Peter Obi, Alex Otti and I are the ones accountable for insecurity in the South East while they deceitfully divert attention from the person who actually holds the power,” Ezekwesili wrote.

Her comments came after she sent condolence messages to the Nigerian army and families impacted by the recent killing of soldiers in Abia State, while also demanding Tinubu be held to account over the nationwide security situation.

“Well, as part of my condolence tweet to the Nigerian army and families of the deceased citizens, I also demanded accountability for insecurity nationwide from the Commander-In-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces,” she stated.

Ezekwesili’s pushback highlights the intense scrutiny and criticism she has faced for raising security lapses as Tinubu grapples with an array of crises including a spiraling separatist insurgency in parts of the Southeast.

Her detractors have sought to blame opposition figures like Peter Obi and Alex Otti for inflaming the violence, portraying Ezekwesili as complicit by criticizing the commander-in-chief rather than security breaches by non-state actors.

However, the former WTO chair has remained defiant, insisting it is Tinubu’s fundamental duty to urgently confront all threats to national stability as the head of Nigeria’s armed forces.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
