The ongoing legal battle at the Apex court between All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Gawuna and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate Abba Kabir Yusuf is no longer news. In a post on his X profile, which was formerly Twitter, Bashir Ahmad stated that all Kano residents, lovers, and well-wishers should support peace and refrain from doing anything that goes against the state’s traditions while the court gets ready to render a final decision.

He said regardless of the Supreme Court’s decision, the people of Kanawa should accept the outcome in good faith to ensure the maintenance of law and order.

“As the Supreme Court is set to announce its verdict on the Kano state governorship election tomorrow, it is important for all Kano citizens, lovers, and well-wishers to advocate for peace and avoid actions that conflict with our tradition of decorum and peacefulness in all aspects of our lives. Regardless of the Supreme Court’s decision, we, Kanawa, should accept the outcome in good faith to ensure the maintenance of law and order in our dear state, Kano”, he wrote on his page.
