Father: When My Daughter, Monica, Was Kidnapped By Boko Haram, It Took Us 1-Year To Know What To DoThe father of Monica, one of the Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014, Pastor Enoch Mark, described the intense difficulty his family had in coming to terms with her loss. He disclosed that they were unable to pray together as they had in the past and were lost for a year before they even understood how to react. According to what Monica’s father said in the interview, “Her mother was so worried about her because Monica never allowed her to do any work. Her mother did not touch anything in the house when Monica was still with us. Monica would clean our house, cook for us, and do everything for us. When Monica was taken (kidnapped) by Boko Haram, it took us one year to know what to do. One year later, we didn’t know what to do. We do not even know how to sit down together and pray again.
