The celebration during Aiyedatiwa’s swearing-in ceremony triggered reactions on social media, leading to reported disapproval from President Tinubu. According to POSTREPORTERS, a source familiar with the matter indicated that Aiyedatiwa’s conduct on his first day in office raised eyebrows, questioning why he couldn’t maintain a more subdued demeanor during the swearing-in, considering it occurred due to someone else’s demise.

The source expressed discontent with the overall tone of the swearing-in event, criticizing the tastelessness of Aiyedatiwa’s jubilation. The source highlighted the inappropriate choice of expressions such as “aku ori ire eni” (congratulations to us for today’s success), emphasizing that celebrating in such a manner when elevated due to someone’s death was unbecoming. The source contended that Aiyedatiwa’s exuberance on the first day of assuming office amounted to a significant misstep.

Another source added to the criticism, suggesting that Aiyedatiwa could have opted for a more solemn approach during the initial hours and chosen a different setting for expressions of joy. The report further claimed that President Tinubu has summoned Aiyedatiwa to Lagos to address the perceived inappropriateness of his jubilation following Akeredolu’s death.

“The entire tenor of the swearing-in was very tasteless. How can you be saying ‘aku ori ire eni’ (congratulations to us for today’s success) when it’s someone’s death that elevated you? He has already goofed on day one. He was all over shouting and hailing and jubilating. Could he not have kept it solemn for a few hours and done the rejoicing elsewhere?. President Tinubu has already summoned him to Lagos over his swearing-in jubilation after Akeredolu’s death”, the source said. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
