Newspaper columnist Majeed Dahiru discussed the nation’s security issues and brought up the point that, in spite of a report claiming the United Arab Emirates (UAE) released a list of people allegedly funding terrorism in the nation, these people’s identities are still unknown to the general public. Speaking in an interview on AIT News, Majeed Dahiru emphasized that instead of merely addressing the issue verbally, the government should take tangible actions based on the information it claims to possess regarding those involved in terrorism within the country.

According to him: “I don’t understand why government would be saying that it has intelligence about people that are responsible for something, and they are not acting on it, I mean we are not seeing arrests, we are not seeing prosecutions. Even when the United Arab Emirates sent us a list of those that are sponsoring terrorism, we don’t who they are, as we speak.

“Nigeria is the only country where you have large scale crime that is being committed, and nobody can tell who is commiting those crimes. So rather than you know, speak out in this manner, government should be acting on the information says it has.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
