Haaland, who secured the Golden Boot for the second consecutive season, revealed his confidence stemmed from City’s penultimate match against Tottenham.
“After we won at Spurs, we kinda knew we were going to do it,” Haaland told Sky Sports following the West Ham game.
Reacting to the Premier League’s intensity, Haaland said, “Every game feels almost like a final. You can’t relax after 45 minutes. Pep demands so much every day, and if you don’t meet his expectations, you’re in trouble. But I love him for it.”
City’s midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne also weighed in on the season’s challenges.
“We worked so hard for it, it’s been a tough battle with Arsenal and Liverpool. Doing something historic is so special,” De Bruyne said.
