El-Rufai’s Old Tweet In 2012 Displaying Jonathan Was Borrowing Away The Future Of Nigeria Resurfaces

Online, a previous tweet from Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna state, accusing Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the former president of Nigeria, of taking Nigeria’s future away, has reappeared. The tweet was posted on Nigerian politician Sam Amadi’s official X account. The tweet was sent out in response to Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna state, accusing Nasir El-Rufai of leaving a massive debt. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to CHANNELS TV, Uba Sani said he inherited a huge debt burden of $587m, N85bn and 115 contractual liabilities from Nasir El-Rufai and that the huge debt has eaten deep into the state’s federal allocation.

However El-Rufai’s tweet accusing Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of borrowing excessively has now resurfaced. In the tweet that the former governor of Kaduna state made in 2012, he said the governments in US and Europe were working to reduce debt but Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was borrowing away the future of Nigeria.

The old tweet by Nasir El-Rufai reads;
