It has long been known that investigations are being conducted against the previous government of Nasir El-Rufai to see how the funds of Kaduna State were handled. It was recently reported that while Nasir El-Rufai was the governor of Kaduna State, he and his appointees reportedly embezzled N432 billion. Mr. Muyiwa Adekeye, Nasir El-Rufai’s media aide, responded to the contentious reports by stating that they haven’t been given a copy of them to present their case.

Honourable Henry Marah Zachariah stated clearly that there is nothing to hide because these reports are all over the media. He believes that Nasir El-Rufai ought to have gotten the reports by now because they have already been sent to him by the Kaduna State House Of Assembly.
He pointed out instances of how Nasir El-Rufai’s led-administration mismanaged the funds they borrowed. According to him, Nasir El-Rufai’s government borrowed $62 million for the seek of reaching out to out-of-school children. He claimed that El-Rufai’s led-administration could only build six schools with the heavy amount of money which is quite questionable.
In a recent interview with TVC News Nigeria, he said: “For instance they borrowed $62 million in the name of reaching out to out-of-school children what have they done concerning that? Well they have built six schools in Kaduna State six science secondary schools but definitely the $62 million you can not tell me that it is only six schools you can build with that”.
