Ekiti Governor Oyebanji Reacts to Friday's Burial of Ekiti APC Chairman Omotosho in His Hometown

Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji stated on his verified Facebook page; “Today was an emotional day for us in Ekiti as we bid farewell to the late chairman of our party, Barrister Paul Omotosho, at a burial service held at St James’ Anglican Church, Imesi Ekiti. We appreciate the comforting words of the President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose condolence message was delivered by his SSA National Assembly matters, Hon Ibrahim Olanrewaju. ”

He added; “Although we are saddened by the passing of Barrister Omotosho, we however find comfort in the knowledge that death is not the end of life but merely a separation of the soul from the body. Barrister Omotosho will always be remembered for his outstanding achievements, particularly as the first State Chairman to produce two governors back to back – a remarkable feat in the political history of Ekiti progressives.”

He stated further; “He was a dedicated servant of the state, and it is essential that we keep his memory alive. As a government, we will ensure that he is immortalised, and his family receives the necessary support they need during this difficult time.”
