In a video that Channels TV posted to YouTube, Ehie underlined the value of deferring to Governor Fubara’s authority while stressing the importance of Rivers State to the Nigerian economy. He cautioned people who called Fubara a “small boy” not to undervalue his might and implied that doing so would have negative effects.

Ehie alleged that the problem in Rivers State is caused by a group of 11 individuals who are attempting to wield control over the state’s resources. He said this group has expanded its influence by recruiting 27 more members.
