Doyin Okupe made this claim during an interview with a journalist on Channels Television. During the interview, Doyin Okupe said, “I have not seen Peter Obi in action, so I do not think that he has the capacity. I am 72 years old now, but when I was 30 years, I faced Obafemi Awolowo. Why should I not say things as I see it?
“I heard a lot of crap where people said that I am a betrayer, but I am not a betrayer. Peter Obi and I had an understanding that we wanted a Southern president. When I spoke to Adebanjo, he asked me who I thought should be the president and I said it should be the turn of the South-East.
