Ifeoluwa Oluwafemi, a female tricyclist from Nigeria, has described her inspirational journey from peddling snacks to riding for pay despite her physical limitations. Addressing the topic, Ifeoluwa said, “I am a single mother with four kids, and I have been coping with them for 7 years since my husband abandoned us. I started off by hawking eggrolls, but it affected my health at night as I could not sleep or feel better at night. This led me to brainstorm on what I could do to provide for my kids, as I do not want them roaming around or feeling the absence of their father. I proceeded to learn how to ride the tricycle.”

She added, “I started the job by taking shifts from other commercial tricyclists, but I soon discovered that it was not sustainable. I then decided to apply for installment payments for a tricycle worth N2.6 million. I thank God that I have been paying their money.
