Dele Farotimi Responds as man says Obi is too scared to galvanize Obidients for a protest as a leader

In a tweet on his official X handle, political activist and lawyer Dele Farotimi addressed a man who implied that Peter Obi is too timid to spearhead a demonstration. This followed the X user’s assertion that the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate is terrified of getting detained. The X user said, “As a leader, Obi is too scared to galvanize the Obidients for a protest. He is scared that he will be arrested, but then, he has to understand that if he is going to be the leader of a movement, he must be ready to get locked up.”

Reacting to this, Dele Farotimi claimed that leading protests in Nigeria is a fruitless effort. He alleged that some of the victims being oppressed have chosen back their oppressors. He stated that Peter Obi has done much for Nigeria, noting that he has given his all for the country.

Dele said, “Any would-be revolutionary looking at the current situation of Nigeria would be scared. The victims have a defeated mentality and are noticeably in love with their oppressors.
