According to PUNCH News, the Rivers State APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Chief Tony Okocha, made this known while speaking on the matter. According to Okocha, he fully supports investigations or probes, stating that if he finishes his term, his office is open and his successors can check his records and prosecute if necessary.

Okocha, however, questioned how Governor Fubara, who was part of the previous administration, can probe others without being investigated himself. He suggested that vacating the perpetual injunction would allow a neutral body like the EFCC to investigate all individuals, including Governor Fubara, once he leaves office.
