Chris Onyeka:"If After Tomorrow We Have Not Seen Any Response From FG, We May Continue The Strike"According to NLC Assistant Secretary Chris Onyeka, the labor unions may carry out their strike if the federal government does not respond by tomorrow, when the strike suspension deadline expires. He underlined that it is the government’s duty to respond to their requests. He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”It is not our call, our demand Is there for them to look at and send an effectual executive bill to the National Assembly. And then the National Assembly will look at what we have demanded and then come up with a National Minimum wage that meets our demands. We have given the Federal government a one-week notice to look at the issues and that one week expires tomorrow. If after tomorrow we have not seen any response from the FG, we may continue the strike. The organs of Organised Labour will meet to decide on what next.
