Chris Okaeben: Those Arrested Are Not Party Members, They Are Hoodlums Who Were Caught With Weapons

Chris Okaeben, a former member of the Edo State House of Assembly, has said that the individuals from Edo State who were brought to Abuja by the Nigeria Police are not members of the PDP but rather criminals who were apprehended carrying guns.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He said that the IGP had just issued the arrest warrants for those connected to the police inspector’s death on Benin’s Airport Road a few weeks prior. He added that the police have chosen not to file a lawsuit at this time because they do not want the governor to get involved and free the people who have been detained.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”An event happened in the Benin Airport and a police Inspector was killed at the Airport road. Now in the course of the Police doing their investigation, people were arrested. Since the investigation is still going on, you do not expect the police to take the matter to Court. So they don’t want the governor to use his powers to make sure they are released and further make the place tense.
