Chibok: Pastor Mark ‘If They Kill Her Because She Refused To Deny Jesus, I Will Be Grateful’

He stated that he felt bad hearing that the Christian Chibok girls were coerced into converting to Islam. He expressed the willingness to accept the possibility of Monica’s death, so long as she remained true to her faith in Jesus Christ.

Between 2017 and 2023, over 100 Chibok Girls have either escaped captivity or been rescued by the military; concerted efforts by Parents of the girls and Nigerians birthed the mass awareness- ‘Bring Back Our Girls.’

A social movement that reached more than 440,000,000 people around the world. Despite these efforts more than 70 girls are still missing, although some of them have been reported dead by their colleagues who reconciled their experiences after regaining freedom. Pastor Enoch confirmed that one of the revered Chibok girls told him that his daughter, Monica is still alive.

He said in an interview with Punch, ”I felt bad. I was not happy when I learned that the Christian Chibok girls were forced to convert to Islam. I was even praying that if they were forced to change to a different religion, let God take the life of my Monica instead.

Let her not deny Jesus. Instead of denying Jesus, let God take her life. I was praying that she would never deny Jesus. I was praying that she would die with her faith in Jesus.
