Chibok: I saw one woman who nearly went blind because she was crying every day – According to Yahi Bwata

Yahi Bwata, a parent and resident of Chibok, has praised the Nigerian government’s efforts in freeing some of the Chibok girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014. He begged the Nigerian government to strive to make it a reality, saying that they are still hoping that the 82 girls who are still in captivity may one day be freed from the hands of Boko Haram. Yahi Bwata also expressed gratitude for the Nigerian media outlets’ efforts to disseminate the word about the story throughout the globe and to use their platforms to advocate for the “bring back our girls” request made by concerned members. According to him, 48 of the parents of these Chibok girls still in captivity are late due to high blood pressure and their immense sadness over the abduction of their children.

Quoting some of his statements from Arise News Television today, he said: “I have to acknowledge the restless efforts of our securities while I greet my Chibok community and our daughters that were released. I have to thank God for seeing this day and the efforts of the Government to release some of our daughters but even though out of 276 of them we are still looking up unto God and crying out to the Government to release the remaining 82 still in captivity”.
