Can Any Poor Man Or Any Ordinary Nigerian Child Secure An Appointment in CBN or NNPC?— According to ASUU National Chairman OsodekeEmmanuel Osodeke, the National Chairman of ASUU, revealed alarming information in an interview concerning hiring and appointments in Nigeria’s top parastatals and ministries. He posed a hypothetical question: is it possible for a low-income or average Nigerian youngster to have a job at CBN, NNPC, or any of these large parastatals? Speaking further in an interview with News Central TV, Osodeke stated that ministries in Nigeria don’t advertise for employment opportunities, but every now and then they hire new people.

According to him, “What I saw as the budget for student loans this year is about 6 or 7 billion Naira; what will that do to Nigerian universities?” If all the students apply for this loan, how many will get it? Can any poor man or any ordinary Nigerian child secure an appointment in CBN, NNPC, or in all these big parastatals? Can they do it today? Even in all the ministries in Nigeria, do you see advertisements for employment opportunities?
