BUR 0-2 LIV: EPL Table & Match Analysis as the Reds leapfrog Arsenal to go top of the League

After beating Burnley by a score of two goals to nil at Turf Moor today, Liverpool overtakes Arsenal to take the lead in the league. Darwin Nunez’s well-taken goal, assisted by Cody Gakpo, gave Liverpool the lead in the sixth minute of play, capping an impressive start for the Reds.

Following Nunez’s opener, Liverpool found the back of the net on two separate occasions but the goals were disallowed. Cody Gakpo’s goal was ruled out for an earlier foul while Harvey Elliott’s second half strike was disallowed for offside.

As the second half drew to a close, Vincent Kompany’s side grew into the game, but Jurgen Klopp’s side were able to wrap up the win with another goal as substitutes Luiz Diaz and Diogo Jota combined to seal the win. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
