Buhari: Somebody that is supposed to be in Kuje prison, they allowed him to be in Daura - According to Opara

Human rights attorney Maxwell Opara has made public some of the concerns he raised at a gathering of campaigners in Europe. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In an interview with AIT, Opara said that he listed the numerous crimes Buhari is accused of doing during the meeting and claimed that although he should be in prison, he is currently living in Daura.

Opara emphasized how crucial it is to get things right now for the future. He said that the DSS had unjustly detained people and disregarded court orders on several occasions under Buhari’s presidency.

In Opara’s words: “The atrocities committed by Buhari, I presented it, somebody that is supposed to be in Kuje prison now, they allowed him to be in Daura. So those are the issues we presented and we said we can not move forward in this trajectory, we must get it right. When I was presenting my cases from my country, everybody was saying ‘Can this thing happen in a country? I said it is happening.

“I went with court orders and court judgments where they failed to obey. You can not just pick somebody’s son, husband, or brother and dump him at DSS without notice and the court said release this man or bring him to court, and you said you are still studying court judgment.
