The Tribune reports that Muhammadu Buhari, the former president of Nigeria, expressed his satisfaction over President Bola Tinubu’s decision to increase petrol prices. He also expressed gratitude to God for granting him the opportunity to eventually make his home after experiencing both the positive and bad parts of Nigeria. Buhari stated that he expected fewer guests at his Daura home following the elimination of the fuel subsidy. But that was not the case since Nigerians gave money as a group to fuel their cars in honor of him every day.

In his own words, The former president said “”I’ve experienced both the positive and negative aspects of Nigeria. I’m grateful to be settled at home, receiving visits as people pay their respects. Initially, I welcomed Tinubu’s decision to raise petrol prices, hoping it would reduce home visits.
