Mohammed reportedly admitted to the act and disclosed that he used the password he saw to withdraw a startling N293,000 after swapping the stolen POS machine for a malfunctioning one. In his own words, as reported by the Daily Post, Mohammed stated, “I went to the POS shop and stole the machine, while I replaced it with a faulty one in my possession. I later withdrew N293,000 from the machine, having observed the attendant, and copied the password. I used the money to play SportsBet.”

SP Wasiu Abiodun, the Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed Mohammed’s arrest and subsequent arraignment in court.
