Bode George responds to the reinstatement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Emir of KanoChief Olabode George, the former national vice chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has responded to the announcement made by Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor of Kano State, that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi will once again be the Emir of Kano, four years after he was overthrown by Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a previous governor of the state.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Chief Bode George stated that he does not believe that the reinstatement of Sanusi is the most crucial step at this time to lessen the suffering of the Kano people in an interview with Focus Nigeria, a show on AIT. He demanded composure. He added that since there are so many hungry people, it doesn’t matter who the current Emir is.

He said: “Whether this is the most important thing now or not to reduce the pains of the people of Kano, I don’t think so. One Governor came and removed the Emir, another one came, remove the one that was there and wanted to reinstate the old one.

All I will just say to them in their language is ‘Kadan Kada’ (take it easy). I beg you in the name of the almighty Allah that we all serve, please be calm. Whoever is head is not the issue for the generality of the people now. The people are hungry so they will therefore be angry.”

Asked if he sees politics in all of these?
