He referenced a prior incident involving the arrest attempt of another high-profile figure, which had raised concerns during his National Assembly screening, underscoring the scrutiny such actions attract.

Olukayode’s comments come amidst discussions on law enforcement tactics and the balance between assertive law enforcement and the avoidance of unnecessary violence, especially in high-stakes situations involving public figures and potential public safety risks.

He said: “We met over 30 armed policemen and 10 Counter Terrorist Unit personnel with Yahaya Bello. I had over 50 of my men armed to the teeth, we would have exchanged fire but if we had done it there will be casualties.

“The day I went for my screening at the National Assembly, the issue of the invasion of Okorocha’s house became an issue, they took me up on that.
