Recall that the Nigerian forward won the female category of the African Football Player of the Year award recently.
She did, however, recently pay the President a visit while he is spending the holiday season in Lagos.

Reacting, Onanuga shared the exact statement that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made after he received the footballer
Onanuga quoted Tinubu as saying, “Nigerian women will always have a pride of place in the world. What our ladies have achieved in football, our women are achieving in all fields of endeavour around the world—rising to the top and demonstrating the best of the Nigerian character of excellence, tenacity, ingenuity, and resilience,”.
