Bashir Ahmad, the former media advisor to former President Muhammadu Buhari, responded to a dejected audience during Peter Obi’s talk with Equal Realities Space on X yesterday by claiming that he is the most capable leader to move Nigeria forward. Ahmad featured the development of Obi’s allies from being IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu’s followers through the EndSARS development to now backing Peter Obi.
“No, they don’t. They are merely leveraging Peter Obi as a means to further their personal agenda. We have observed their evolution from being IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu’s loyalists through the EndSARS movement to now backing Peter. Should they sense that he no longer aligns with their objectives, they will easily withdraw their support. This explains why it is rare to see him taking stances that oppose their views,” Ahmad stated.
Ahmad depicted the example of help in light of individual interests as opposed to philosophical associations.
He further made sense of the negative idea of this help, expressing that respectful allies are not associated with their goals.
He showed Obi’s allies’ relationship, where faithfulness is put upon apparent advantages to individual plans.
As per Ahmad, the purposes for this lie in Obi’s hesitance to go against the perspectives on his allies.
This hesitance recommends an essential methodology by Obi to keep up with the sponsorship of his allies, regardless of whether it implies thinking twice about specific standards.
