As you may recall, Channels Television carried a broadcast in which the House of Representatives urged that the Federal Government and the Nigerian Army promptly reopen Banex Plaza in Abuja. The House also compared and contrasted the military’s oppressive approach to civil matters with its response to reprisals in the Okuama community.
As Opara recounted the events at Banex Plaza, he added, “you bought a phone; after a few weeks, you complained about it, and they said let us swap out the battery because it was your fault. You went and hired a military man to help you after saying you wanted a new phone.
To elaborate on the military guy’s actions, he stated, “the military man now came with his uniform and collected the phone by force; the police came, and the military man said who gave the police the authority to intervene in this matter.”
“The police came with other policemen to say, Let us settle this matter, but he refused,” Opara recalled of the intervening officer. Suddenly, the other individual bolted with a brand-new phone. It was because of that that this came to pass.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
