Asari Dokubo, Tinubu Betrayed Me After I Emptied My Bank Account Campaigning For Him

 

According to PUNCH, Asari Dokubo, a former militant leader from the Niger Delta, has expressed his frustrations in a widely shared video, accusing President Bola Tinubu of neglect and betrayal. He claims that despite his efforts and financial contributions to support Tinubu’s campaign during the 2023 presidential election, the president has abandoned him.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Dokubo revealed that he spent all his savings to campaign for Tinubu, expecting recognition and cooperation once Tinubu assumed office, however, he expressed disappointment that his contributions were ignored.

He announced plans to realign his political alliances, stating that he would work more closely with the Northern region ahead of the 2027 elections, this move suggests a shift in his political loyalty, distancing himself from Tinubu and the South-West.

Dokubo also criticized the Yoruba community, expressing frustration over what he described as betrayal and that his Ijaw people would now seek stronger partnerships with Northerners, believing that cooperation with the North would be more beneficial.

“I apologise to our fathers because they were not wrong in forming an alliance with the North, and as young men, we will now start that same alliance.”

“From today, I will work and form an alliance with the North. President Tinubu betrayed me after I spent all my money and emptied my bank account campaigning for him. The Tinubu I know now isn’t the Tinubu I used to know. We will take this message across that only the Northerners can work with the Ijaw people.”
