As Head of State Obasanjo said he cannot be seen driving a big state car when oil price dipped—According to Utomi

Professor Pat Utomi has shared his thoughts on the situation in Nigeria right now. He said that when oil prices declined and General Olusegun Obasanjo was the head of state, he switched from ostentatious government cars to a more affordable Peugeot 504. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

During an interview with AIT, Utomi suggested that the current government was acting in stark contrast, spending on luxury items such as fancy cars and new houses despite what he perceived as a worsened economic situation.

In Utomi’s words: “As Head of State, General Obasanjo said he can’t be seen driving a big state car when oil price dipped. So he reduced himself to a Peugeot 504 and everybody else in government from there down. We are in a worse state than that and we are buying ourselves fancy cars, we are building new houses.
