He argued that the Governor’s statement, which implied a lack of willingness or ability to prevent such practices, may have contributed to the escalation of tensions and the ensuing chaos in the state.

He emphasized the importance of leadership figures using their authority and influence to promote peace and stability, rather than making statements that could be misinterpreted or used to justify disruptive or violent behavior.

He said, “I actually wasn’t happy with the announcement made by the governor of Abia, trying to give credence that he cannot stop people from mourning their dead people. Such person in a big authority ought not to make that kind of statement, and incidentally you can see the outcome.
