Akin Osuntokun, the former director general of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, shared his opinions about the PDP and their 2027 presidential candidate. According to him, there is very little likelihood that Nyesom Wike will be the PDP’s presidential candidate in 2027 because the party’s Atiku Abubakar faction will make sure Wike does not lead the party in that year. He further stated that if Peter Obi of the Labour Party returns to the PDP, he will easily emerge as the PDP 2027 presidential candidate. He added that Atiku Abubakar will be over 80 years old come 2027, and the PDP needs to zone their presidential candidate to the south-south or southeast, which is why the chances of Peter Obi emerging as their flag bearer come 2027 are very high.
Speaking further in an interview with Arise TV, he said, “Nyesom Wike is a very divisive figure in the PDP, and the Atiku Abubakar fraction will ensure that he doesn’t get anywhere. I don’t see the chances of Nyesom Wike becoming the PDP presidential candidate in 2027.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
