After Governor Rotimi Akeredolu passed away, Aiyedatiwa took the oath of office as governor of Ondo State. Following a protracted fight with cancer, Akeredolu passed away at the age of 67.

Social media users’ comments to Aiyedatiwa’s celebration at his swearing-in have caused a stir.

According to the report by Sahara Reporters, a source who spoke with them said that Governor Aiyedatiwa goofed right from his first day in office because of the way he celebrated, and asked why Aiyedatiwa could not remain calm throughout the period of the swearing-in, knowing fully well that it was someone’s death that paved the way for him to become governor.

The source said, “The entire tenor of the swearing-in was very tasteless. How can you be saying ‘aku ori ire eni’ (congratulations to us for today’s success) when it’s someone’s death that elevated you? He has already goofed on day one. He was all over shouting and hailing and jubilating.”

Another source added, “Could he not have kept it solemn for a few hours and done the rejoicing elsewhere? President Tinubu has already summoned him to Lagos over his swearing-in jubilation after Akeredolu’s death.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
