He continued by saying that governors now get an incredible N20 billion in compensation after subsidies were removed, but they continue to argue that they cannot pay the proposed N62,000 minimum salary.

Sajoh highlighted the apparent mismanagement of funds and the lack of priority given to workers’ welfare, despite increased financial resources.

According to him, “When I was in government, I know that when I was a cabinet member in my state, the maximum we ever got was about 4 billion. sometimes 2.5 billion. No, I’m being very honest. Most times, we borrow to augment to even pay the salaries, but today, governors receive up to N20 billion, and yet they’re telling you that states that were managing salaries with N2.5 billion now are receiving like N20 billion, and they are still telling you they cannot pay.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
