A well-known cryptocurrency and stock brokerage specialist in the US, Adam Taggart, has responded to reports that a Nigerian internet fraudster, Yahoo Boy, is impersonating his identity to defraud people online.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The suspect, Patrick Akpoguma, was recently arrested by the Zone 2 Police Command, covering Lagos and Ogun states. Nigerian Tribune revealed that Akpoguma had purchased a mask for $11,200 to impersonate Taggart on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Taggart, in a post on his X account (formerly Twitter) described the situation as one of the most bizarre experiences tied to his name. He urged the public to remain cautious, emphasizing that he would never solicit anyone through social media for business or financial matters

Akpoguma is also accused of engaging in a range of fraudulent activities, including romance scams, cyber hacking, and cryptocurrency fraud. Despite offering a ₦174 million bribe to evade arrest, police officers rejected the offer and ensured his detention.
