After Onanuga Announced That NLC And TUC Have Suspended Strike For One Week, Nigerians React

 

Social media users’ reactions to the announcement that the statewide strike has been postponed by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) were varied. He made this announcement on Tuesday in a post he uploaded on his official X handle.

This is coming after the organized labour embarked on a strike on Monday. However, it would be recalled that after the strike on Monday, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume held a meeting with NLC and TUC which yielded a positive result.

In the post that Onanuga shared on his page, he said the organized labour has suspended the strike for one week. He said the decision was taken in consonance with the agreement that was reached with the Federal Government and the Tripartite Committee.

Bayo Onanuga wrote on his page;

“TUC, NLC suspend strike for one week, in consonance with the agreement reached with the FG and the Tripartite Committee Monday night”.
